Backward Compatible with Legacy USB and Thunderbolt 3 Devices Though both connected devices must support USB4 20Gbps for the cable to reach its full potential, the U521-1P0M-WH20G is backward compatible with USB 3.x, USB 2.0 and Thunderbolt 3 devices.
